Group Therapy

Groups can provide a safe, supportive place to grow in a psychologically stimulating setting. In group therapy, you not only have the opportunity to discuss your concerns and issues, but most likely you will have the opportunity to experience them. The group provides a window into your interpersonal relationships with others in a setting where both Dr. Jacobs and other group members can help you examine and change your patterns of relating.

Group therapy has the advantages of

  • Shared common experiences
  • Support from a group
  • Feedback from peers
  • Vicarious learning opportunities
  • A sense of community and family

Persons wishing to join a group must first participate in an individual therapy evaluation to assure correct group placement.
